Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski to Open Later this Year

Kempinski Hotels and Grupo de Turismo Gaviota have signed a management contract for Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski, the first five-star luxury resort complex in Cuba.
After having successfully managed the country’s first five-star city hotel, Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana, for almost two years, the brand will enhance its presence on the Caribbean island and will further extend its footprint in the Americas.
Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski is currently under construction and is scheduled to open at some point this year.
The all-new resort hotel in the picture-perfect location of Cayo Guillermo, approximately 500 kilometers east of Havana, will offer the brand’s discerning guests an experience of exclusivity and privacy away from the hustle and bustle of the tropical island’s capital city.
Cuba’s first non-all-inclusive resort hotel will become the luxury hideaway from the crowds.
The hotel offers a uniquely refreshing and authentic experience, inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s legacy and love for the Cayo, re-imagined for the contemporary traveler.
The ample yet human-sized resort will be built like the bow of a boat advancing into the Atlantic Ocean.
Surrounded by a breath-taking natural landscape and extensive gardens, it will offer 245 rooms and suites.
