Dart Expands Presence in Anguilla with Acquisition of Zemi Beach House

Dart has deepened its investment in Anguilla with the acquisition of Zemi Beach House, an intimate 77-room boutique resort on Shoal Bay.

Purchased from the Goldstein family, who developed and operated the property since its 2016 opening, Zemi Beach House is known for its luxurious amenities and serene beachfront setting. This acquisition aligns with Dart's focus on high-end hospitality and its commitment to the growth of Anguilla's luxury tourism market.

Mark VanDevelde, Dart’s Chief Executive, highlighted the island’s similarities to the Cayman Islands, which first attracted Dart in the 1990s. “Zemi Beach House epitomizes Anguilla’s thriving luxury tourism sector,” VanDevelde said. Dart aims to build on the property's established reputation while fostering local community prosperity. The company’s hospitality portfolio includes renowned resorts such as the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, and Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa.

The acquisition was celebrated with a reception attended by Dart executives, Zemi Beach House leadership, and members of Anguilla's government. Premier Ellis Webster welcomed the investment, emphasizing Dart’s positive impact on Anguilla's economy, community spaces, and tourism infrastructure. Recent contributions include the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre, a community space inaugurated in July 2024, and training programs for hospitality staff in partnership with other Dart properties.

Jackie Doak, Dart Director, praised Anguilla's growing reputation as a destination for discerning travelers, citing record tourism performance. She added that Dart plans to collaborate with Zemi Beach House’s management to create guest experiences that highlight Anguilla’s culture and natural beauty.

Tourism Minister Haydn Hughes commended Dart’s ongoing contributions, noting the company’s role in elevating Anguilla’s tourism product and providing opportunities for local professionals. With plans for further enhancements and investments, Dart continues to strengthen its partnership with Anguilla, reinforcing its position as a leader in luxury hospitality and community development.
