Sanctuary Cap Cana Wraps Up Renovation Plan

Playa Hotels & Resorts has announced the completion of a $44 million renovation at Sanctuary Cap Cana, with new suites, reimagined restaurants and an expanded spa.

Situated on the eastern tip of the island and just 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, Sanctuary Cap Cana spans more than 20 tropical acres, including 2,100 feet of oceanfront.

The guest experience begins with the resort’s porte cochère which flows into the completely reimagined lobby, complete with a spectacular new custom chandelier made of selenite salt crystals.

The resort’s 183 pre-existing guestrooms and suites, spanning 17 different room categories, have been completely refreshed.

The transformation includes the addition of two new towers with 140 more suites, increasing inventory to a total of 323 rooms.

The new suites are in two distinct categories: Luxury Junior Suite and Premium Luxury Junior Suite. Both suite categories feature similar contemporary design elements infused throughout the property as well as modern touches including porcelain tiling and coralline stone accents.

For maximum privacy and added comfort, the suites also feature soundproof walls, new hydrotherapy tubs with relaxing color therapy options and a modern rain shower system.

Significant changes have also been made to the resort’s Villa Collection. The Villas Reception was completely remodeled with the addition of a VIP lounge for more personalized guest attention.

The Royalty Villas, the largest villa category within the Villa Collection, have also been enhanced with private pools, as well as modern outdoor furniture such as swings and shaped loungers.
