The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel, Debuts on NYC’s Upper East Side
Today marks the grand opening of The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel, which brings a vibrant new chapter to the landmark property on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
This 16-story luxury hotel, Corinthia Hotels’ first in North America, has been meticulously redesigned by MBDS, featuring 70 guest rooms, 30 suites, and 14 exclusive residences.
With interiors crafted by Martin Brudnizki, the hotel combines contemporary elegance with classic New York charm, including handcrafted Murano chandeliers and bespoke furnishings.
Guests can indulge at Casa Tua, the beloved Miami-based restaurant’s first New York location, which showcases Italian and Mediterranean cuisine in a space designed by Michele Bonan.
Beyond dining, the hotel’s serene Surrey Spa, a collaboration with Sisley Paris, offers exclusive treatments like the Black Rose Re-plumping Facial and a full range of wellness amenities, including a sauna, steam room, and salt relaxation space.
The hotel embraces its cultural roots through a curated art collection from VISTO Gallery, celebrating New York’s artistic heritage with works from local and international creators. Each suite—such as the Bethesda Grandeur and Pine Bank Bridge Suites—pays homage to Central Park, with designs inspired by its iconic bridges and architectural features.
