Wyndham Hotels & Resorts continues its strong growth in Latin America and the Caribbean, solidifying its presence in the midscale, upscale, all-inclusive, and lifestyle segments. In 2024, the company signed nearly 50 new contracts and opened 23 hotels, reaching 270 properties and over 44,000 rooms in the region. Its OwnerFirst™ strategy strengthens its long-term commitment to owners and franchisees, backed by growing demand for these travel destinations.

Notable openings include nine Decameron resorts in Mexico, Panama, and Jamaica, TRYP by Wyndham Asunción, and Viva Miches by Wyndham in the Dominican Republic, with 494 rooms facing Playa Esmeralda. Also notable are the Wyndham Monterrey Ambassador Centro in Mexico, Wyndham Puerto Varas Pettra in Chile, Wyndham São Paulo Ibirapuera in Brazil, and Wyndham Tulum, which enhance the company’s presence in key markets.

Mexico leads regional growth, with 13 new openings, bringing Wyndham’s presence in the country to nearly 90 hotels. The Trademark Collection by Wyndham saw significant growth, opening six new properties and more than 2,400 rooms, including all-inclusive resorts in Panama and Jamaica. In 2024, the company signed 11 contracts in Mexico, 10 in Brazil, and 9 in the Dominican Republic, strengthening its footprint in strategic markets.

On the sustainability front, Wyndham is driving the Wyndham Green Program, implementing measurable actions to make eco-friendly practices more accessible to franchisees. This year, three hotels earned Level 5 – Expert certification, joining two previously certified hotels in the region. These include the TRYP by Wyndham São Paulo Guarulhos Airport in Brazil and the Wyndham Quito Airport in Ecuador.

Globally, Wyndham saw a 4% growth in rooms and added 69,000 new rooms in 2024, achieving a record 95.7% retention rate. Its franchisees in Latin America and the Caribbean benefit from the Wyndham Advantage, offering marketing, distribution, and hotel management tools, supported by a growing base of 114 million Wyndham Rewards members.
