Tourism-Oriented Technology to Shine at FITUR 2022

More than sixty suppliers of technology and innovative solutions for generating trips and improving the traveler experience will participate in the TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY space, which will once again be held as part of FITUR, the tourism industry's first major annual event, to be held January 19-23 at IFEMA MADRID.

TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY will be located in Hall 8 at FITUR, where the specialized technological offerings at the service of tourism companies will be concentrated, with the latest solutions, developments and tools that will set new trends for the future. Among the most promising areas and segments, those related to travel reservation systems, lodging management and improved services for hotel chains will stand out. In addition, this space will also feature an important program of product presentations by exhibiting companies.

In this context, innovative solutions and proposals related to issues such as digital communication with guests in the hotel room; the importance of hotel and room allocation for travel agencies; digitization and online booking management in the Tours and Activities sector; Benchmark of the direct channel, and how to understand and compare the behavior of travelers in the booking process; technologies, services and consulting for the digitization and growth of online sales, and platforms that drive the hospitality industry will be unveiled.

Other solutions that TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY will showcase include: much more than POS software, a whole universe of innovation; technological change, obligation or alternative?; CRS, work half as hard, produce twice as much; direct bookings, what strategies work; data as a business asset in the tourism sector; digitalization and helping agencies to succeed; and how to go from Start Up to Scale Up with Moonshot methodologies.

In parallel to this section, other FITUR spaces will maintain their contents linked to technological developments and innovation, such as the FITURTECHY section, which organized in collaboration with the Hotel Technology Institute (ITH), will echo the digital transformation essential for the growth and progress of the sector, from the point of view of destination, business, sustainability and the future horizon. Technology and sustainable tourism linked to the development of smart destinations will also be present at FITUR KNOW-HOW & EXPORT, an initiative promoted by SEGITTUR and FITUR, in collaboration with ICEX, España Exportación e Inversiones, which will once again have its own space at FITUR 2022.
