Caribbean Princess Returns to New York in 2009
Princess Cruises announced that the Caribbean Princess will return to New York in summer 2009 for a second season of the line’s roundtrip sailings to Bermuda and the Caribbean. The ship will change directions in late summer to head north for a season of roundtrip Canada & New England sailings.
In total, the ship will offer 20 sailings on two primary routes from New York, including a nine-day journey to Bermuda and Grand Turk and a weeklong voyage to New England and Canada’s eastern provinces. The ship also will offer a seven-day cruise from San Juan, P.R., to New York.
The Caribbean Princess’ 2009 summer season to Bermuda & the Eastern Caribbean from New York will feature 10 departures between May 24 and Aug. 13.
The nine-day voyages will sail roundtrip on an itinerary that includes Bermuda (West End), San Juan, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., and Grand Turk. The ship will also offer one seven-day Bermuda & Eastern Caribbean sailing from San Juan to New York, departing May 17 and calling at St. Thomas, Antigua and Bermuda.
Starting in August, the itinerary will move north for an early season of cruises to Canada and New England, roundtrip from New York, with visits to Newport, R.I.; Boston; Bar Harbor, Maine; Saint John, New Brunswick; and Halifax, Nova Scotia. The ship will offer nine sailings between Aug. 22 and Oct. 17.
Escape Fares for the nine-day Bermuda & Eastern Caribbean cruises start at $1,099 per person, double. Canada & New England sailings start at $945. A $50-per-person Captain’s Circle Launch Savings discount is available to Princess past passengers on bookings made by Dec. 31, 2008. Sailings open for booking on March 21, 2008.
