CTO, Springboard Caribbean Launch Virtual Leadership Program for Regional Tourism Leaders

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), in partnership with Springboard Caribbean, has announced a new edition of the Professional Leadership Skills Program, designed to enhance the leadership skills of senior managers, supervisors, and executives in the region’s tourism sector.

The program, consisting of three virtual workshops, will focus on key topics such as strategies to improve business performance through effective leadership, tools to achieve organizational goals, and the development of a customer service culture through employee empowerment. Facilitators include Ann Maria Quail, Managing Director of Springboard Caribbean, and John Quail, Director of Operations at the same organization.

According to Sharon Banfield-Bovell, CTO’s Director of Resource Mobilization and Development, the program aims to provide participants with the knowledge and tools needed to strengthen their leadership capabilities, foster cohesive teams, and enhance organizational performance. “Strong leadership is essential for organizational success. Through this program, we aim to raise industry standards and create high-performing teams across the Caribbean tourism sector,” she stated.

The workshops will be held over five mandatory sessions on the following dates:

  • Workshop 1: February 13 and 14, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. AST
  • Workshop 2: February 27 and 28, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. AST
  • Workshop 3: March 12, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. AST

To receive the program completion certification and six (6) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points from the Institute of Hospitality, participants must attend all workshops and complete assigned coursework. The registration fee is USD 300, and enrollment is limited to 25 participants, accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
