Eagle Air Aviation, a certified Part 135 charter and organ transport service provider, has announced the addition of a new EC-135 Helicopter to its growing fleet. The acquisition significantly enhances the company’s ability to deliver on-demand charter services and respond swiftly to organ transportation needs, with operations now underway from Harrisburg International Airport.

Manufactured by Airbus Helicopters SAS, the twin-engine EC-135 is a globally recognized aircraft with a strong track record in medical, emergency, and charter operations. Airbus, formerly known as Eurocopter, is the world's largest helicopter manufacturer, commanding nearly 48% of the global turbine helicopter market.

The newly acquired helicopter is tailored for short- to medium-range missions, offering rapid transport directly from airports to helipads, such as those at hospitals or corporate offices. It boasts a cruise speed of 148 mph, a 280-mile range, and can carry up to five passengers or 518 pounds of payload.

With more than 1,500 EC-135s in service across 60 countries, this model is widely used for aerial medical transport, charter services, and utility surveillance.

Tyler Sigel, CEO of Eagle Air Aviation, stated, “We've already seen strong interest from organ transport providers and air charter brokers. Our competitive pricing and operational flexibility make this helicopter an ideal solution for clients needing fast, efficient transportation in high-traffic areas.”

This expansion follows the company's recent acquisition of a third Cessna Citation CJ2 Jet in February, further strengthening Eagle Air Aviation’s position in the specialized aviation services market.
