A Historic Florentine Wine Window Opens in Times Square

This June, New York City will welcome its first-ever Buchette del Vino — a traditional Florentine wine window reimagined for the heart of Times Square. Named Buchette del Vino NYC, the concept comes from Chef Jack Logue and Chris Miller, the duo behind the revitalization of the iconic Lambs Club at The Chatwal Hotel.
Located on the pedestrian plaza of Broadway between 43rd and 44th Streets, this chef-driven, fast-casual spot will serve Italian wines directly through a custom-built street-facing window. Guests will also be able to enjoy espresso, gelato, draft beer, salads, panini, tramezzini, and a rotating “pasta of the month,” all crafted with premium Italian ingredients.
Inspired by the centuries-old Florentine tradition — where wine was discreetly sold through small windows carved into homes — Buchette del Vino NYC brings a playful, old-world charm to one of the busiest intersections in the world. The design evokes the feel of an Italian piazza, offering both locals and tourists a moment of connection and culinary pleasure in the middle of the city’s energy.
While the setting is relaxed, the food reflects the Michelin-starred backgrounds of Logue and Miller, who have cooked at acclaimed restaurants like Daniel, Atera, Betony, and The Clocktower. Their culinary sensibility shines through in every detail, bringing elevated Italian flavors to a street-level experience.
“During my time in Italy, I developed a deep appreciation for the food and culture — how something as simple as a glass of wine or a sandwich becomes a meaningful ritual,” says Chef Jack Logue. “The wine windows of Florence capture that beautifully. Bringing this to New York is a natural extension of what we’re doing at The Lambs Club: blending tradition with creativity and joy.”
Tom Harris, President of the Times Square Alliance, welcomes the opening with enthusiasm:
“Buchette del Vino brings a unique and elevated dining experience to the Crossroads of the World. It’s a celebration of global culture and culinary creativity, and we applaud the team for investing in Times Square with something so special.”
