Korean Air is set to enhance its premium services with the opening of a 16,000-square-foot lounge at The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport. This new lounge will be a major addition to Korean Air’s global network, ranking among the largest outside its Seoul Incheon hub.

Scheduled to open as part of the New Terminal One's launch, the lounge will offer an exceptional experience for the airline’s First and Prestige Class passengers, along with elite frequent flyers. Located at the eastern end of the new terminal’s pier, the lounge will provide direct boarding access to aircraft, adding a layer of convenience for travelers departing from New York City.

The New Terminal One is a pivotal element of JFK Airport’s $19 billion redevelopment, which includes constructing two new terminals, modernizing existing ones, expanding ground transportation options, and redesigning the roadway network. This new terminal will significantly enhance the airport’s capacity and service quality.

Featuring expansive, light-filled spaces with panoramic airfield views, the Korean Air lounge will include a show kitchen and bar, offering a range of fresh culinary delights prepared on-site. The facility is designed to provide top-notch technology and service, ensuring a world-class experience for its guests.

David Pacey, Executive Vice President & Chief of In-flight Service and Lounges at Korean Air, expressed excitement about the new lounge: “We are thrilled to unveil our new lounge at The New Terminal One. This premier facility will deliver an elevated travel experience for our passengers, complete with cutting-edge amenities and exceptional service. We look forward to collaborating with NTO as we prepare for the lounge’s grand opening in 2026.”

Jennifer Aument, CEO of The New Terminal One, emphasized the importance of partnerships with leading airlines: “We are committed to providing a world-class experience for our guests and are delighted to expand our collaboration with Korean Air. We look forward to creating an exceptional experience for Korean Air’s valued customers at JFK Airport.”

As one of only ten Skytrax five-star airlines, Korean Air is renowned for its outstanding customer service. The airline marked its 45th anniversary of operations at JFK Airport in April 2024 and currently operates 14 flights per week between Seoul Incheon and JFK.

The Korean Air lounge will be a standout feature of The New Terminal One, which will be the largest terminal at JFK when complete. The terminal’s Phase A, set to open in 2026, will include expansive departure and arrival halls and 14 widebody aircraft gates. By 2030, the terminal will be fully operational with 23 gates, 22 of which will accommodate widebody aircraft, handling an anticipated 16 million passengers annually.
