Singapore Changi Airport has once again claimed the crown as the World’s Best Airport, according to Skytrax’s 2025 rankings, marking its 13th time receiving this top honor.

Far more than just a transit hub, Changi has become a destination in itself. Passengers can check in up to 48 hours before their flight, giving them time to explore its vast amenities. Over 80 million people visited its iconic Jewel complex in 2024 — a 10-story retail and entertainment space that includes indoor gardens, a butterfly sanctuary, and the Rain Vortex, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall at 40 meters (130 feet).

Skytrax also honored Changi with several other major awards:

  • World’s Best Airport Dining

  • World’s Best Airport Washrooms

  • Best Airport in Asia

And Changi is not stopping there. As reported by CNN Business, the airport is investing over $2 billion over the next six years in infrastructure and service enhancements. A fifth terminal is already in development and is expected to open in the 2030s.
