The symposium is an excellent multidisciplinary exchange space where socio-psychological problems are going to be analyzed, including their impact on men’s sexual health and special emphasis will be placed on prevailing models of manliness and their connection to Sexually Transmitted Diseases and HIV/AIDS among men.

The whole world is focused on finding efficient ways to solve such a serious health problem, with progress in some countries and setbacks in others, thus establishing new challenges in the field of scientific research so as to outline successful prevention and control strategies.

This event will be shedding light on the latest results obtained by means of research and field work carried out by health promoters, representatives from different social sectors, institutions or independent researchers related to the prevention of STD and HIV/AIDS on the male population. These actions are intended to foster specific strategies aimed at reducing vulnerabilities on the male population and boosting the social impact on the prevention of STD/HIV/AIDS.

The Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee invite all people interested in this matter to attend in the event.

The symposium targets professionals from the healthcare sector and Social Sciences, students of Medical Sciences and Social and Humanistic Sciences, health promoters, people that study topics related to sexuality and gender, as well as other enthusiasts.
