2004 EXPOCARIBE Tradeshow Summoned for Santiago de Cuba

The 13th edition of the EXPOCARIBE Tradeshow has been scheduled from June 13 to 18 in Santiago de Cuba, the island nation’s second-largest city.

According to the Organizing Committee, the usual venue –the Heredia Conference Center- will provide Cuban companies and their counterparts stationed in the country with a perfect setting for showcasing their products and services, for jointly advertising their businesses and enhancing their trade ties.

With a dozen previous editions under its belt, EXPOCARIBE has turned out to be a major hub of Caribbean-based transactions in which companies from eastern Cuba have always been the stars of the show. The city’s nearness to other nations in the region allows for better business and trade relations.

During the fair, attendants will also enjoy a well-planned cultural program scheduled for all top stages of Santiago de Cuba, a city founded 489 years ago and lying some 560 miles from Havana.

The event will equally be the backdrop for the Third Meeting of the Cuba-CARICOM Entrepreneurial Committee, in which planners are expecting as many as a hundred institutions dedicated to the promotion of foreign trade from 30 countries in the region to show up for enlightening exchanges about business and investment.

Joint trade and foreign investment in Cuba, as well as banking and credit relations among the island nation’s ministries of foreign trade and foreign investment, and the Foreign Bank, will be some of the discussion topics on the table.
