Apple Leisure Group Signs Deal for First Dreams Resort & Spa in Playa Mujeres

Apple Leisure Group’s subsidiary, AMResorts, is growing its footprint in the popular destination of Playa Mujeres with the announcement of Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort. This is the fifth deal closed by the leading hospitality company in 2014, which has grown 20 percent in the past year.

“The development of Dreams Playa Mujeres is yet another example of how our vertically integrated approach allows us to strategically grow in highly desired markets, making our company a valuable resource for owners interested in entering the all-inclusive segment,” said Javier Coll, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Apple Leisure Group.

This is the 13th property for the award-winning Dreams Resorts & Spas brand, and the second AMResorts property in the area, following Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort, which is slated to open on November 15, 2014 in the private Playa Mujeres Resort complex.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort is set to open in early 2016. The family-friendly resort will feature 500 spacious rooms and suites, offering ocean views and private beach access, and is located only ten minutes away from downtown Cancun. Guests will have access to the complex’s amenities, including a marina and a championship 18-hole, Greg Norman designed golf course.
