Argentine Travel Professionals to Assess the Industry´s Prospects in May

Impresarios, scholars and boldface names linked to the travel industry will huddle in a professional meeting with a view to appraise the present and future of the leisure sector through an array of seminars and dissertations.

The event, scheduled for May 5, will take place at the Senate Floor of the Legislative Palace and a good deal of authorities have already confirmed their participation.

Tourism is Argentina´s fourth income source, trailing behind soybeans, oil and foodstuffs.

The number of foreign tourists that visited the South American nation over the past couple of years was up 26.9 percent, according to stats revealed by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses.

Some 3.3 million foreign travelers visited Argentina last year as the industry netted little mote than $2 billion in gains.
