Artists from ARTEX’s Musicalia Win Awards at Cubadisco 2015
Winners of the 19th edition of the Cubadisco 2015 International Fair in different categories were announced on May 14. Like every year, artists from Musicalia, the agency for artistic representation run by ARTEX, walked off with several awards.
In the Pop Rock category top honors went to young songwriter and singer Adrián Berazaínfor his CD Si te hago canción, produced by Bis Musicrecord label from Artex. The album had been launched on December 25 with a spectacular concert at the Mella Theater in Havana.
Another highlighted winner was Luis Barbería, a member of the Madrid-based Habana Abierta band. Barbería won in the Fusion category with the CD entitled A Full, by the EGREM record label. She shared the spotlight in the category with the Sexto Sentido, afemale vocal band.
In the Concert Music category, celebrated Cuban sax player César López from Habana Ensemblegrabbed top honors for his CD Entre Cuerdas, produced together with the ISA Orchestra, attached to the Lyceum Mozartiano.
Last but not least, in the DVD Live Show & Recording category, the winner of the night was top-tier Cuban musician Descemer Buenofor his DVD entitled Mi primer concierto, also produced by ARTEX’s Bis Music.
Musicalia congratulates Adrían Berazaín, Luis Barbería, César López and Descemer Bueno on these major achievements.
