Aruba pleased with outcomes of Travel Agents Convention

Officials from Aruba’s Tourism Agency (ATA) and the Hotels and Tourism Association of Aruba showed satisfaction with the results of the recently concluded Third Convention of Aruba’s Certified Travel Agents Overseas.

The event opened a magnificent opportunity to check out the island’s assortment of products and to assess ways to keep the flow of incoming foreign travelers up and running. The meeting was attended by travel agents from Europe, Latin America and the United States.

The working agenda –unveiled during the opening ceremony by Tourism Minister Edison Briesen- included inspection calls to Aruba’s lodging compounds, a grand tour around the island, and an array of other activities to present some of its finest tourist products.

During the nightly sessions, convention attendants enjoyed a varied schedule that included a chance to taste the exquisite local cuisine, to shake a leg to the beat of Aruba’s music and to learn more about its culture.

ATA has a membership of 2,000 certified agents in the U.S., 600 in Latin America and roughly 50 in Europe.
