Attendants to Stuttgart Tourism Fair rivet attention on Cuban products

Cuba has traveled to Germany’s Stuttgart armed with its finest vacation offers for the opening of the CMT Fair, an event gathering over 1,400 exhibitors from 82 countries.

The Caravan Motor Touristik (CMT) –coming to close today- is Europe’s largest tradeshow specialized in outdoor tourism. In it, visitors could get hipped on the latest trends, destinations, tour operators, adventure travel, bicycle tours, golf vacations, relaxation opportunities and whole lot more linked to this modality.

Fair director Ulrich Kromer is hopeful to see some 200,000 people walk past the turnstiles during these days.

In addition to Cuba, the ten countries of Central and Eastern Europe that will soon join the European Union come May, are present at the Stuttgart event.

The German travel industry –one of the world’s biggest senders- expects to nick a slight recovery in 2004 after two years of grueling crises.

Experts believe the snapback will be largely boosted by a hefty euro that’s making travel destinations outside Europe twice as much luring for German nationals.
