Baha Mar Rolls Out Ad Campaign

The Baha Mar megaresort in the Bahamas, whose first phase debuted this past spring, has launched its first advertising and marketing campaign, and has confirmed that its second hotel will open on Nov. 14.

Baha Mar's "Life Spectacular" campaign has two 30-second spots -- one each narrated from the perspective of a husband and a wife (both of whom are parents of a young child). The campaign touts the resort's diverse offerings, including its culinary choices, "Blue Hole" swimming area, marine-education program, casino and nightlife.

"We needed to communicate that there is no 'one size fits all' approach at Baha Mar," said Baha Mar vice president of marketing Karin Salinas. "Every nuance of the resort from amenities to special experiences and offerings is purposefully created."

The resort confirmed that the 300-room SLS Baha Mar will open on Nov. 14. Baha Mar's third hotel, the 200-room Rosewood Baha Mar, is slated to open next spring.

The 1,800-room Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, its 100,000-square-foot casino and some of its restaurants and shops opened this past spring.

Once completed, Baha Mar will have more than 40 restaurants and bars and more than 30 shops in addition to its 2,300 guestrooms and casino, which is the Caribbean's largest.
