Barbados’s Holetown Festival Coming Around on Feb. 17

Barbados’ colorful culture and history will bask in the limelight as the annual Holetown Festival will bring joy to that lovely Caribbean island nation from February 17 to 24, 2008.

Celebrated for almost three decades, this week-long festival commemorates the anniversary of Holetown, the first settlement of Barbados in 1627.

The Holetown Festival features dynamic theatrical presentations, historical talks, sporting events including a 10-kilometer run, concerts, street parades, food tasting sessions, poetry readings, sidewalk art shows, games, local handicraft markets and the popular Queen of the Festival Pageant.
