Beaches Resorts Introduces Sailing Program

Beaches Resorts partnered with the American Sailing Association to launch a new sailing program at its three resorts in Jamaica and the Turks and Caicos.

The Sailing Fun Experience consists of four two-hour sessions to introduce guests to sailing. Guests must be at least 8 years old.

Cost of the program is $150 per person; sessions are run by an ASA-trained and certified instructor. Parents and kids also can choose a private course for $500 for up to four participants.

If guests cannot complete all sessions during their vacation, hours completed can be transferred between all Beaches Resorts within 18 months of the first class.

Three sailing vessels are available for training, including the kid-friendly 8.53-foot Laser Performance Bug, a 14-foot Hobie Wave or a 16-foot Hobie Getaway.
