Belize will be transformed into a food lover’s paradise when the Central American country hosts its annual Cashew Festival and Lobster fests from May to 6.

The three day festival dedicated to the gourmet cashew nut brings visitors to the charming town of Crooked Tree Village, where a wide array of colorful festivities and culinary samplings are offered.

Participants can watch demonstrations of the harvesting techniques and the preparation process of the cashew nut and learn first-hand how to make these unique goodies.

Although the festival centers on the vast selection of cashew dishes and local Caribbean food samplings, the celebration will also include lively Punta and salsa music, dancing, storytelling, folklore performances, displays of local handicrafts, and the much-anticipated crowning of the Miss Cashew Queen.
