Belize to Host its First International Sustainable Tourism Conference

The Belize Tourism Board announced its sponsorship of the Third Annual World Conference for Responsible Tourism from May 19 through May 21. This international conference is organized by the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT), and is taking place at the University of Belize, in the capital city of Belmopan.

The conference will serve as the venue where the country will launch its new policy on responsible tourism, and will feature experts from around the world to speak on local economic development through tourism, the impact of mass tourism on local communities and climate change.
