Belize Wants BETEX to Help it Grab More of the World’s Attention
The Belizean Tourism Board is making plans and preparations for the Belize Exposition, Tradeshow and Expedition (BETEX) –scheduled from September 14 to 18, this year- in order to give travel agents, tour operators and tourist wholesalers a chance to take a closer look at the travel potentials this Caribbean nation has to offer.
The three-day exhibit will allow foreign purchasers and travel agents to huddle and weave working ties with local tour operators and hoteliers, as well as with other leisure industry members. Attendants will also learn about Belize’s culture through a series of seminars and presentations.
At the end of BETEX, participants will then embark on the “expedition” part of the event, a one-and-only opportunity to tour the country and take a firsthand glimpse at its natural wonders and beauties. Organizers have mapped out ten different itineraries in an effort to let professionals and experts get familiar with Belize and its tourist offerings.
