Berlin´s ITB Set New Record High of Attendants

A grand total of 10,409 exhibitors from 181 countries took part in the International Travel Exchange Fair in Berlin, the highest attendance numbers this event has ever logged.

ITB 2005 presented the new Trends & Events segment that included ecotourism and travels for youngsters, among many other offers.

Another segment worth stealing a look at was Business Travel, in which participants attended a seminar and the unveiling of several travel packages tailor-made for executives.

The Berlin tradeshow also featured a Welfare Travel Pavilion and the Technology Hall. At the same time, visitors toured booths and stands entirely devoted to e-sales of plane tickets and new software applied to the sector.

Scores of visitors also flocked pavilions designed for end users of cruise liners, travel guidebooks, entertainment and other services.
