Cancun Event to Feature Twenty CEO Speakers, Leaders of Civil Aviation From Latin America
The Latin American Air Transport Association (ALTA) announced it has confirmed twenty CEO speakers for the ALTA Latin American Airline Leaders Forum, which will be held from November 29 to December 1 in Cancun, Mexico, at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort & Spa.
Featured CEO speakers include the leaders of Aeromexico, Aeropostal, Air Jamaica, ASUR, Avianca, Caribbean Sun, Cayman Airways, Copa Airlines, GOL, Iberia, LAN, Mexicana, TACA, TAM and former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta. The directors of civil aviation of several Latin American countries will attend as well.
The leading airline event in Latin America/Caribbean is expected to draw over 400 attendees from more than 30 countries, including 20 CEOs of Latin American and Caribbean airlines. The theme of this year’s event is “Leadership in Airline Progress.”
ALTA (formerly AITAL) was founded in 1980 as a non-profit airline association and currently includes 32 member airlines.
Its member carriers have total revenue of more than $16 billion, operate more than 700 aircraft and employ more than 70,000 workers in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela, Uruguay, and in other nations the airlines serve.
