Caribbean Calendar Getting Full as Conference Season Heats Up
It’s that time of year again when many Caribbean destinations host individual travel exchanges and symposiums to showcase their product for tour operators and the trade, enabling suppliers and buyers to interact.
The timing on these is such that several conferences often run back to back, which ensures that attendees log long hours in airports and planes crisscrossing the region on island-hopper flights.
Some of the highlights are the Dominican Republic Annual Tourism Exchange from April 12 to 14, the St. Kitts Tour Operator Symposium from April 23 to 26, the Cayman Islands Travel Exchange from April 26 to 28, the Jamaica Product Exchange from April 29 to May 2, and the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference from May 8 to 10 in Curacao.
Other events to be held under the Caribbean’s balmy weather are the St. Martin/St. Maarten Annual Regional Trade Show from May 9 to 11, the U.S. Virgin Islands Destination Symposium from May 14 to 18, the Caribbean Conference on Sustainable Tourism Development from May 21 to 24, the International Travel Partners Conference from May 20 to 23, the Caribbean Week from June 9 to 15 in NYC, and the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Conference from June 17 to 19 in Miami.
