Caribbean Environmental Program Hosts Journalism Workshop in Jamaica

Journalists from all over the Caribbean are gathering in Jamaica for an environmental journalism workshop in Kingston, Jamaica, that teed off on Monday, May 8.

The four-day program, organized by the Barbados-based Caribbean Regional Environmental Program (CREP), featured in-depth, hands-on reporting on community environmental issues, with print journalists also being exposed to photography.

The workshop was conducted by PANOS Institute Caribbean. The PANOS Institute Caribbean is a regional organization which helps journalists to cover sustainable development issues that are overlooked and misunderstood.

The intensive four-day proposal workshop was also hosted by the Caribbean Regional Environmental Program which is executing educational programs through out the region for a greater environmental awareness within Caribbean communities.
