High off plans for a bold new expansion of its fleet and business strategy for 2006, Caribbean Star Airlines and Caribbean Sun Airlines announced last week a number of new routes spanning several Caribbean islands at the Caribbean Marketplace 2006 held in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to meet with the elite buyers and planners who were invited to participate in this important marketing event,” says Caribbean Star Airlines and Caribbean Sun Airlines President and CEO William E. Barnette.

“Based on the reception both airlines received at the recent World Travel Market in London, we have reason to believe that tourism professionals attending Caribbean Marketplace will be very excited about the added routes and services our airlines can offer to their tourist clients, and we invite them to stop by our booth to visit or to set up an appointment for a later meeting.”

Recent highlights include the launch of Caribbean Sun´s services from San Juan to St. Eustatius, between Dominica and Barbados, and San Juan to Port of Spain beginning in February 2006.

The airline also increased daily nonstop flights between Luis Munoz International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and St. Vincent, St. Thomas and St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and between San Juan and Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
