With the coordination of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and prior to the grand opening of London’s World Travel Market –the second largest fair of its kind on the face of the earth- the European Marketing Forum, featuring numerous Caribbean executives and entrepreneurs, will get cracking on November 9.

The event will be attended by regional tourism ministers, commissioners and directors who are supposed to have an overall insight of the European market and discuss such major issues for their industry as long-haul travel on the heels of one of the toughest periods this sector has ever endured, explained Julia Hendry, CTO marketing chief for Europe.

The CTO has scheduled a series of expert debates through seminars and workshops to be held at the British Commonwealth Institute in London. These activities will be emceed by Jeremy Skidmore of Travelmore, who will also lecture on the leisure industry’s perspectives in the near future.

Other boldface names attending the forum are Sue Biggs, general manager of Kouni Travels, and Andy Hofton, senior consultant for Airline Dynamics and former editor of Aviation magazine.

A blue-ribbon panel of CTO European chapters, representing the U.K., Germany and Netherlands, will also expose their viewpoints and talk about latest trends in the travel industry.

Over thirty Caribbean travel destinations, including several private-sector representatives who will showcase their cultural, artistic, gastronomical and musical products at the London World Travel Market, are expected to show up at the forum.
