Central America will play host to the fourth edition of TOUR DIVING, a fair specialized in scuba-diving travel, scheduled for January 2005 under the sponsorship of Abando Dive Travel.

Following the success of previous editions, the 2005 fair will gather 130 exhibitors from nearly two dozen countries and over 5,000 scuba diving buffs from around the world.

In 2003, the honor guest was no other than larger-than-life scuba diver and marine researcher Jean Michel Cousteau. This time around, top honors will go to Tanya Streeter, world champion in all apnea immersion categories.

TOUR DIVING 2005 will also feature broader exhibition space for attendants and visitors to organize different activities.

One of the highlights will be the Sub Cinema, with feature presentations and documentaries from around the world linked to the underwater realm that have already grabbed major awards in several international festivals.

TOUR BUCEO 2005 is the perfect meeting ground for regional and foreign scuba diving centers, cruise companies, specialized publications, manufacturers of scuba diving gears and apparels, travel agencies and tour operators to exchange views and experiences on today´s trends in that particular field.

Central America will be the International Region of Honor in next year´s edition of TOUR DIVING, with representatives from Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.

Within the framework of the international fair, organizers will grant the Neptune Awards in five categories: Best New Diver, Best All-Around Diver, Best Immersion Site, Best Artistic and Communication Company, and the Sea-Friendliest Enterprise.
