China´s BITTM 2006 Expected to Put on Quite a Tradeshow
Scores of proactive tourism offices, tour operators, hotels, resorts and providers of travel from around the globe are getting set to participate at the Beijing International Travel and Tourism Market (BITTM) 2006.
Recently, the China Daily newspaper reported results of an Australian market research study that revealed a strong preference among Chinese tourists to travel to the USA, France and Australia.
With Chinese tourists ranking second as the highest spenders in the world, shelling out an average $175 per day per person when abroad –four times what the average Japanese traveler spends- sellers of travel are keen on targeting this lucrative emerging market.
BITTM is strictly a hundred percent outbound, a hundred percent business-to-business event where sellers of travel products can meet one-on-one with qualified Chinese outbound buyers of travel.
BITTM 2006 will be held from April 3 to 5 in Beijing and as the leading business-to-business event provides the essential linkage between the rapid development of the Chinese travel industry and the global travel and tourism industry.
