Colombia will come to FITUR-2003
Colombia will be a part of FITUR-2003, one of the world’s major tourist tradeshows, scheduled to take place in Madrid from Jan. 29 to Feb. 2. The Colombian delegation will stress on its campaign entitled: “Live Colombia, Travel Through It.”
Downtrodden by a civil war that has generated unfettered violence, this country bathed by the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean is trying hard to reenergize tourism at any rate. And FITUR-2003 will open up an opportunity to “make an invitation to live the very best of our country, focused on seven fundamental tourist products,” tourism authorities forwarded in Bogota.
Colombia will promote sun and beach, fairs and parties, history and culture, sports and adventures, farming and ecological tourism, and urban tourism.
In the same breath, they will underscore the concept of kind treatment to tourists and allow both local and outlandish travelers “to get the very best of every nook and cranny of our country.”
Colombia’s offers will be showcased in Pavilion 6, station 6A 104 at the Juan Carlos I Fairgrounds in Madrid.
The goal behind this Colombian effort is to show off “how spectacular it is to see this country fighting against all odds with its own mighty charm, a charm rendered in gorgeous beaches, dreamy seas, breathtaking landscapes, unforgettable places, carloads of fun in its fairs and parties, and the giant and warm heart of its people.”
