Cricket World Cup Facilities Get Inspected in Grenada
Grenada received high ratings last week from the ICC Assessment team headed by the Venue Development Director, Don Lockerbie. According to Mr. Lockerbie, Grenada is now making action and not promises in the face of next year´s Cricket World Cup.
Members of the media also got a firsthand look at the Stadium facility and the work being done there. The tour highlighted some of the accomplishments made over the last few weeks and the way forward.
Meanwhile the ICC CWC team indicated that host venues must ensure that they have the best pitches and fields for the games.
Lockerbie said it is of paramount importance that this be done in order to have a smooth flow when the games unfold.
Having the pitch and field completed for Cricket World Cup 2007 is important but the team has to ensure that every country develops and prepares the best pitch and field ever.
