Crystal Moves 2012 Holiday Cruise from Mideast to Caribbean
Crystal Cruises is moving its 2012 holiday cruise on Crystal Serenity from the Holy Land to the Caribbean. The line said the change was made due to increased demand for a warm-weather itinerary in North American waters. The 14-day 2011 holiday voyages, departing Dec. 21, remain unchanged.
The Serenity’s 2012 14-day holiday cruise sails Dec. 21, 2012, roundtrip from Miami for Tortola, Barbados, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Key West and Ponce, Puerto Rico, a maiden call.
With Crystal’s “Save Now, Save Later” promotion, travelers can save 20 percent on the 2012 Christmas/New Year’s sailing by also booking one of this year’s holiday voyages by Sept. 15. The 2011 holiday cruises to Hawaii or the Panama Canal/Caribbean are value-priced at up to 58 percent off brochure fares.
The 14-day 2011 holiday voyages both depart Dec. 21. The Crystal Symphony will sail a Hawaii cruise roundtrip from Los Angeles, calling at Maui, Honolulu, Kauai, Hilo and Enseñada. The Serenity’s Panama Canal/Caribbean roundtrip from Miami visits Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Cartagena, Antigua, St. Barts and Turks and Caicos.
To accommodate next year’s change from the Middle East, Crystal’s pre- and post-2012 holiday cruises have also been revised. Crystal Serenity now makes a Barcelona-Miami trans-Atlantic cruise on Dec. 9, 2012, and follows the holidays with a Jan. 4, 2013, Caribbean roundtrip from Miami to Tortola, St. Kitts, Point-a-Pitre, St. Lucia, St. Barts, St. Maarten, and Turks and Caicos.
