Cuba braces for the 4th Cigar Festival
Havana._ Top-notch cigar aficionados will have the chance to enjoy a genuine bash as the 4th Cigar Festival unfurls next February 25 through March 1 in Cuba, featuring a wide program of activities.
Habanos S.A., a company that markets such top-brand Cuban cigars as Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo and Juliet and Partagas, is the organizer of the event that this year will be dedicated to the Vegas Robaina trademark.
The Cigar Festival has turned out to be an institutional party of worldwide recognition by those who like smoking the real McCoy, for it embraces a friendly ambiance of exchanges among VIPs from all over the globe. Among the event’s traditional activities, attendees could participate in the Welcome Night, the Commercial Fair, the Video Contest, the Scientific Seminar, as well as visits to tobacco plantations and the much-anticipated Gala Dinner.
During the Gala Dinner, the presentation of the Cigar Man of the Year Award –in its four categories: production, details, communications and business- and the auction of humidors and cigars specially made for the occasion, are the two moments all participants and invitees crave the most.
The Habanosommelier Contest will be introduced for the first time this year, a competition reserved for winners of previous round-robin contests put together by Habanos S.A. dealers in different countries around the planet.
The International Conference Center, the San Francisco Square at the Morro-Cabaña Fortress and the recently restored National Museum of Fine Arts will host the event’s different activities.
