Cuba Is Top-Priority Destination for Copa Airlines Conventions
The Cuba destination ranks among the top five spots for Copa Airlines Conventions, a division of the Panamanian air carrier founded in 2002 to transport attendants to meetings, conventions and other events in the Americas, said Aida Abreu, an executive with Copa Airlines in Havana.
Mrs. Abreu explained that this year her company will act as an official carrier in sixteen different events to be held in Cuba, even though they’re working right now to add more meetings to the list.
Copa Conventions offers preferential airfare discounts to event attendants, promoters and exhibitors, as well as special assistance during the booking process at both reservation outlets and terminal counters.
Other conveniences include special discount offers for transporting promotional materials and brochures –in formats available at the airline –of those events Copa will be the official carrier. Today, Copa Airlines flies to 30 destinations in as many as 20 countries.
Copa execs plan to transport 1.4 million passengers in 2004.
