Cuba Was the Prefect Pick for the 2007 Meier’s Mega Fam Trip
Just a 10-day stretch on Cuban soil were good enough for the hundred participating travel agents and tour operators invited by Meier’s Weltreisen -one of Germany’s top tour operators- to find out how special a travel destination Cuba really is.
That was the nice aftertaste in each and every attendant to the “Welcome to Cuba” familiarization journey organized by the German tour operator and that brought in four groups that visited the island nation’s top tourist circuits.
Havana, Pinar del Rio, Matanzas, Varadero, Topes de Collantes, Trinidad, Holguin and Cuba’s northern offshore keys were the top picks for an entourage. Hosts in those travel destinations skimped on no efforts to provide business meetings and give those visitors a firsthand view of what Meier’s may offer its customers.
Hotels, tours and specialty travel packages were available for Meier’s, thanks in part to the many conveniences granted by hotel chains and incoming companies like Gaviota, Gran Caribe, Habaguanex, Occidental, Oasis, Sol Melia, Barcelo and SuperClubs, among others.
