Over 1,500 attendants will gather for a second year in a row at the Plaza America Conference Center in Varadero during the upcoming 23rd Tourism Convention scheduled for May 5 to 8.

The country’s premiere sun-and-beach destination will open up its arms to tour operators, travel agents, airline reps, professionals and industry experts from more than 48 nations.

According to official stats provided by the organizing committee of this annual tourism marketplace, the tradeshow will draw in those eying Cuba as a tourist destination and the island’s top traveler-sending markets, including Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Canada and Mexico.

The development of incentive, congress and convention tourism, the branching out of scuba diving-related offers, ecological tourism and the unveiling of some brand-new products will be some of the issues riveting attendants’ attention this time around.
