Cuban tourism on the road to ITB

Havana._ Cuba is bracing to put on its best bib and tucker at the Berlin Tourism Exchange, one of the world’s major tourism fairs, scheduled for March 16 through 20 and with a view to captivate Europe’s market.

In fact, the opening ceremony for this grand event will be starred by a numerous delegation of Cuban artists that will fill the Berlin’s fairgrounds with colors and sound beats from the Caribbean.

Cuba’s attendance at the Berlin Tourism Exchange (ITB) will be paramount for the island’s intention to be the destination of choice among European travelers and for the effort to turn Germany into the number-one sender of tourists to the largest of the Antilles, Eduardo Rodriguez de la Vega, Cuba’s Vice Minister of Tourism was quoted to say.

Mr. Rodriguez de la Vega pointed out that Cuba will unveil its new line of products and tourist circuits, a reason why chief execs from the island’s major tourist chains and entities will travel to Berlin.

Cuba, the honor guest at this year’s ITB, will be charged with the fair’s opening ceremony in which, according to Mr. Rodriguez de la Vega, a comprehensive look of Cuba’s culture will be presented. An entourage of 170 Cuban artists will put on a show during the Cuba’s Night on March 18.
