The Dominican Republic to host the Fourth Caribbean Media Exchange

The Fourth Caribbean Media Exchange on Sustainable Tourism (CMEX) –a conference drawing together media outlets from North America and Europe to discuss tourism’s sustainable tourism in the countries of the region- will get underway from May 15 to 19 this year in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic.

Through the years, CMEX has become the premiere educational conference on sustainable tourism specially devoted to local, regional and international journalists and editors, as well as a unique window of opportunity to exchange information directly between the press and reps of hotels and the leisure industry in the Caribbean.

During the four-day conference, delegates will home in on a main topic entitled “Fostering Tourism’s Economic Impact” and other interesting issues.

CMEX is jointly sponsored by Counterpart International, CHA, CAST, Air Jamaica, Caribbean Hotel Association Charitable Trust (Life Needs he Caribbean), EarthVoice and the Caribbean Broadcasting Union.
