Ecuador to Host Buyers, Travel Agents at Annual Event

The Ecuador cities of Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil, and the international event management firm William H. Coleman, Inc., plan to hold the Second Annual See Ecuador event, May 4-9.

The six-day schedule in the three host cities will feature seminars, sightseeing, site inspections, meetings between buyers, travel agents, and suppliers and sponsored social functions.

See Ecuador is designed to increase inbound tourism to all four of Ecuador’s tourism regions: Amazon, Andes, Pacific Coast and Galapagos. Tour operator buyers and retail travel agents from the U.S., Canada and Ecuador suppliers will be participating. The organizers estimate a total attendance of 450 delegates.

Tour operator buyers will pay a $250 registration fee and receive single room accommodations at host hotels, inter-city air transportation, airport transfers, pre-scheduled marketplace appointments with suppliers and travel agents, seminars, sightseeing, site inspections, social functions, ground transportation and a CD directory of all participants.

Travel agent registration fees are $195 and include double room accommodations at host hotels, inter-city air transportation, airport transfers, pre scheduled marketplace appointments with suppliers and tour operators, seminars and workshops, all business and social functions, ground transportation and a CD directory of all participants.

Registered and confirmed tour operators and travel agents will be eligible for discount airfares on American Airlines, the official See Ecuador airline. American Airlines is providing base fares of $275 from the U.S. and Canada, $375 from Mexico and the Caribbean, and $500 from Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and Latin America. Other participating airlines will offer travel industry discounts as well.

Suppliers pay a $795 registration fee that includes two delegates, a booth/office/table-top and pre-scheduled appointments with tour operators and travel agents, and pre-scheduled appointments with travel agents and tour operators at the marketplace in Cuenca on May 7, participation at business and social functions, and a CD directory of all participants.
