Ecuador Hosted International Tourism Congress
Ecuador was home last week to an international tourism congress that weighed different alternatives to beef up the Latin American travel industry and assessed the going of the leisure sector in the region.
The conclave was organized and sponsored in part by the Ecuadorian Association of Travel Agencies, Tour Operators and Wholesalers (ASECUT).
According to ASECUT President Alfonso Sevilla, one of the objectives behind this gathering effort was to expose strategies wielded by corporate Latin America to boost up similar initiatives in the public sector.
Mr. Sevilla noted tourism should become an act of economic integration for all communities across the country as much as it’s been doing in recent years for the nation’s big cities.
