Environmental protection is top goal in international conference in Cuba’s Camaguey

The environmental impact of architecture and engineering works will be the main course at the 2nd International Symposium on Architecture and Engineering for the Environment (ARINSEMA), scheduled to take place here from Nov. 18 to 20.

Experts from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica and El Salvador have confirmed their attendance to the working sessions to be held in the headquarters of Cuba’s Union of Architects and Building Engineers (UNAICC), the event’s organizer.

Participants will lecture on ecology-friendly, bio-climatic and landscaping architecture, water supply and environmental cleansing, as well as on the use of non-conventional energy sources.

Other topics to be broached during the course of the event will deal with the integrated management of hydrographic basins and coastal areas, and environmental training and education as well.

Papers, posters and specialized visits linked to the environment will equally be included on the meeting’s agenda.

ARINSEMA –sponsored by the local offices of the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment- seeks to gather both experts and people interested in the technical and scientific works aimed at achieving environmental protection and sustainable development.
