Under the sponsorship of the Tourist Professionals Association of Costa Rica (ACOPROT), execs from the leisure industry will gather in San Jose to attend the First Central American Marketplace –scheduled for Oct. 20 to 26- with a view to promote the local tourist product in the European market.

The event –scheduled on a yearly basis from this edition on- will compile the offers of public and private sectors in an effort to foster, advertise and develop the tourist industry in the region on the one hand, and to meet the multi-destination demands of European travelers on the other, said Pablo Solano, head of the Event Division at ACROPOT.

The Central American Marketplace will be a great meeting ground for European purchasers and local salespeople to help them weave stronger ties with regional governments in a effort to step up the tourist charms of their nations.

The event will be attended by European wholesalers with a sale profile slotted in the general tourism category, chiefly travel package providers and incentive groups that either do business with or are interested in this region.

A number of hotels, tour operators, airlines, car rentals and official tourism entities from the region will likewise attend this major upcoming event.
