Excel London Picked to Host World Leaders at London Summit

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office announced that it will host the summit in April 2009 at ExCeL London, the international exhibition & conference center. The London Summit will bring together leaders of the world’s advanced and emerging economies, including the G20, and representatives of international financial institutions to work cooperatively to restore stability and stimulate global economic growth. Leaders will travel from across the globe to attend the crucial event.

ExCeL London was chosen from an extensive list of venues and cities due to its easy access for delegates and the world media; world class facilities; flexible meeting space and reputation of hosting successful events.

ExCeL is London’s largest conference center, hosting major European and International Association meetings including EULAR Annual European Congress of Rheumatology, 8th International Orthodontic Congress, The Airport Operators Association and in May will host the Capital’s largest ever medical congress –Gastro 2009.

Many large corporates such as HSBC, BP, Rolls Royce, Royal Bank of Scotland, Astrazeneca, Barclays, Cisco, Ernst & Young, Marks & Spencer and Reuters also host events and conferences at ExCeL London.
