Fair of the Americas Going Well in Brazil

Rio de Janeiro has put on its glad rags to host the Brazil Today Destination Fair and the 32nd Congress of Brazilian Travel Agencies (ABAV), two of the South American nation’s major tourism events. The tradeshow that kicked off Wednesday is showcasing the best products and services the local travel industry has to offer.

This time around, each and every continent is flashing new stuff and featuring massive turnouts as far as governmental officials and tour operators are concerned. Counting Brazil in, there are 35 nations attending the Fair of the Americas that will stretch out until Sunday.

The conclave is gathering over 700 companies from the turf and other nations that now have the opportunity of advertising their products and services for oncoming travel seasons. Organizers are confidents that the 20,000 professionals huddled in Rio de Janeiro will make scores of business contacts.

The fair is divided in productive zones, including hotels, tour operators, maritime companies, airlines and NGOs.

The participating foreign tour operators have been reserved a special area within the so-called Brazil Today tradeshow, a sort of business marketplace that sports all the potentials of the Brazilian travel industry.

Two countries –Greece and Turkey- are making their debut in this fair, promoting the Mediterranean region.
