A Forum on Latin America Scheduled for the Berlin Travel Fair

A group of experts from Latin America will huddle within the framework of the upcoming International Travel Fair in Berlin to hold a forum on the actions that must be implemented to beef up tourist security in that region.

The forum entitled Healthy Growth For Latin America: Peoples, Cultures and Nature Adventure (Ambition, Reality and Future), will unfold during the Market, Trend and Innovation Congress that will take place during the Berlin event from March 11 to 15.

The opening speech will be delivered by Andreas Gross, president of the Latin America Working Community (ARGE is the Spanish acronym) that’s expected to target the Latin American image in the German travel market.

Mr. Gross will broach the vision that German tour operators, news organizations and travelers have on the region, based on information provided by recent ARGE polls.

Venezuelan Tourism Minister Wilmar Castro Soteldo will dictate a lecture entitled The Best of Two Worlds: A Vision on Tourism’s Sustainable Development in Venezuela.

As far as safety and security in Latin American travel destinations are concerned, Studiosus Travels’ General Manager Edwin Doldi, will touch on that particular matter. Studiosus Travels offers trips for German-speaking scholars interested in a variety of specific topics.

For her part, Angela Giraldo, co-chairwoman of the Center for Development and Environmental Protection in Stuttgart, will zero in on the need to cling to sustainability amid increasingly larger tourist inflows to the region.

The Congress on Markets, Trends and Innovations got its big break at the Berlin International Travel Fair in 2004 and gathered a grand total of 3,500 attendants.

Organizers of the China Forum, however, are demanding would-be attendants to sign up for the event given the amazing amount of interest among impresarios and entrepreneurs from around the world to do business with the Asian giant.
