Global Travel & Tourism Summit Moves to Washington D.C.
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) announced that Washington DC, USA, would be the venue of the Sixth Global Travel & Tourism Summit, taking place from April 10 to 12, 2006.
The Summit is the highest profile event for one of the largest industries in the world –Travel & Tourism, accounting for 10.6 percent of GDP and 221 million jobs worldwide.
Attracting Chief Executives, Chairmen and Presidents of the world´s foremost companies and senior government officials from around the globe, the event provides a unique platform for discussion between decision-makers who will shape the future direction of the industry.
The first time in the United States, over 800 participants are expected at the event to be held at the Washington Convention Center.
The World Travel & Tourism Council is the global business leaders´ forum for Travel & Tourism. Its Members are Chairmen, Chief Executives and Presidents of the world´s most prominent Travel & Tourism organizations. It is the only body, representing the private sector in all parts of the Travel & Tourism industry worldwide.
